A Family of Makers Album by Final Touch Cigars
Wrapped in Connecticut.
Filled with Nicaragua.
Made American.
Beginning
This album begins with a place—and a birth.
The founder of Final Touch Cigars was born in Hartford, Connecticut, after his parents left Nicaragua in 1979. Connecticut is not a chapter in the story; it is the opening line—where identity formed, where values took shape, and where life began.
Raised in Connecticut while maintaining close ties to family in Nicaragua, the founder grew up with two influences that never stood in opposition.
The United States is home.
Nicaragua is heritage.
Craft is the bridge.
Visits to Nicaragua revealed something deeper than geography—the patience of the work, the discipline of the craft, and the pride in doing something well over time.
Final Touch Cigars was built to present that craftsmanship thoughtfully within American cigar culture.
This album, Home, is where that philosophy becomes visible.
Why Foundation Cigars
The story of Final Touch Cigars naturally aligns with the work of Foundation Cigars.
Nick Melillo, the founder of Foundation, was also raised in Connecticut before building his cigars in Nicaragua. His work reflects the same balance between perspective and craft.
Connecticut shaped the eye.
Nicaragua shaped the hand.
The result is cigars that are intentional, composed, and grounded—Connecticut wrapper on the outside, Nicaraguan tobacco at the core.
This is not symbolism.
It is construction.
Two Stories, One Language
Final Touch Cigars and Foundation Cigars tell different stories but share the same language.
One is a first-generation American brand founded by someone born in Connecticut and connected to Nicaragua through family.
The other is a Connecticut-born cigar maker whose work honors tradition through thoughtful execution in Nicaragua.
Both value process over excess.
Both believe that how something is made matters more than where it is made.
That shared philosophy is why Home highlights Foundation Cigars exclusively.
Made American
“Made American” does not mean made in one place.
It means built with American identity—clarity, confidence, and accountability—using the best materials the Americas offer.
Connecticut and Nicaragua are not opposing poles.
They are part of the same tradition.
North America.
Central America.
One continuum.
